One of the most powerful ways to promote your book is to offer it for free for a limited time. Why? You need to remove all resistance separating your book from your readers – including a price tag. Not forever, but enough to get a ton of downloads and some thoughtful reviews, which will help sell the book.

But here’s a secret strategy to turbo-charge your book giveaway promotion: when you offer your book for free, contact a shit-ton (a lot) of sites that promote Free Kindle Ebooks and let them know your book is available for free.

This would be a great thing to outsource – you could probably find someone willing to do it for you for around $50. (However, try not to blast out at everybody – your book probably won’t be appropriate for everything on this list. Make sure you or your assistant check to see if the website only deals with certain categories or types of books, and if it’s not a good fit, don’t waste their time…)

Just wanted to let you know my book, “MY TITLE” will be available for free for the next three days at this link: www.myfreebook/amazon/etc. – here’s a short summary and a jpg of the cover. Thanks so much for sharing this with your readers!”

Some of these are just for free books, or kindle books, some are for cheap books, some are open-ended. Just try your best, submit to all during your launch, try to get as many downloads as possible in the shortest amount of time. To really do well, couple your launch with some kind of reward system (like $20 amazon cards for the top 10 rated reviews on Amazon by a certain time).
