This is a very short post – mostly making a note to myself so I can use it later. I’m usually against “book promotion” on Twitter, instead I focus on connecting and providing value, sharing my blog posts but not usually selling my book or doing promotion. BUT Megan Crewe pointed out that “RT&F” (retweet and follow) giveaways work well, especially for our genre (young adult). But instead of just doing a straight giveaway, she also included the preorder info, which lead to some new sales.
I’ll try this out on my next big book launch. You do need a great image designed. This is her tweet:
RT&F for a chance to win one of the first hardcovers of A MORTAL SONG! Intl OK. Ends 8/26. https://t.co/Xsg5WPTnNg pic.twitter.com/yPpeEdYIIC
